8 Reasons to Find and Hire a Good Coach

1. COACHING IS AN INVESTMENT. A GOOD COACH-PARTNER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP IS PRICELESS.
2. COACHING REQUIRES COMMITMENT AND CONNECTION. BOTH PARTIES MUST BELIEVE IN THE PROCESS TO MAKE THE PARTNERSHIP WORK.
3. GOOD COACHES PROVIDE LESSONS IN MOTIVATION, COURAGE, CREATIVITY AND SELF-LEADERSHIP.
4. COACHES ASK DIFFICULT QUESTIONS. THEY ARE NOT PSYCHOLOGISTS OR PSYCHIATRISTS. COACHES HELP INDIVIDUALS AND COUPLES FOCUS, PLAN AND SET STRONG TIMELINES BY LISTENING, ASKING QUESTIONS, MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS AND HOLDING CLIENT-PARTNERS ACCOUNTABLE.
5. MANY PEOPLE DON’T KNOW THEY NEED COACHING AND ARE AFRAID TO HEAR THE TRUTH OR TELL THE TRUTH. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO DO THE WORK TO INITIATIVE PROFESSIONAL OR PERSONAL CHANGE. DEFENSIVE PEOPLE CAN’T BE COACHED.COACHES PROVIDE FEEDBACK THAT OFTEN MAKES CLIENTS UNCOMFORTABLE. LISTENING IS LEARNING.
6. FRIENDS, PARTNERS, SPOUSES AND CO-WORKERS MAY PROVIDE ADVICE AND INFORMATION, BUT ARE NOT EQUIPPED LIKE COACHES TO PROVIDE THE LEVEL OF ATTENTION, ACCOUNTABILITY AND CLARITY OR THEY WON’T ASK THE TOUGH QUESTIONS.
7. COACHES ARE ON TIME AND FOCUSED. THE MISSION IS TO GENERATE CHANGE AND OPPORTUNITY.
8. COACHES LOVE TO COACH. GOOD COACHES BENEFIT AS MUCH OR MORE THAN CLIENTS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE MEASURABLE RESULTS.
